Romans 8:26: "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."
Have you ever begun to pray and felt as though your words were inadequate? Have you ever thought your prayers lacked power? Or that your intercessions couldn't pierce the ceiling, much less get past the clouds? When we consider that we are going before the throne of the Almighty, I think we all can identify with such feelings. In fact, it would be safe to say that we should feel inadequate and unworthy before the Father. Anytime we become too confident, we are on slippery ground. Paul warned about this when he said, "Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall." But we do not have to be sidelined by our inadequacy in prayer because God has provided us a helper in the Holy Spirit.
