The temptation that we are going to continue looking at today is the sin of "lust."
TEXT: Matthew 5:27-28
In the struggle against sexual sin, it is easy for us to think we are doing good as long as we do not commit fornication or adultery. That may have been the case in the Old Testament era, but Jesus Christ calls us to a higher standard in this area of our lives. He wants not only our bodies to be free of sexual sin, but our minds to be free of sexual sin as well. The old law said, "Thou shalt not commit adultery." But the new law says a man who looks on a woman (or a woman who looks on a man) to lust after them has committed adultery with that person already in their heart.
