TEXT: Revelation 22:1-5
Not a single day passes without a reminder that we live in a sin-cursed world. The strangeness of death, sickness, loss, and grief, not to mention the persistent feeling for many that life isn't fair, repeatedly inform us that something isn't quite right with our world. This not-rightness came about as a result of sin. We often think that God punished Adam and Eve, and thus the whole human race, as a result of their disobedience. But the aftermath of the Fall was more than simple punishment; the whole earth, the entire ecosystem, reacted to the entrance of sin into our world. That's why we have famine and pestilence, drought and natural disasters. The earth itself is broken.
