TEXT: Romans 10:1 We all have experienced situations in which we feel as though we have no control regarding the outcome. We know how we would like to see things turn out, but we have no power to bring about the desired result. Such is the situation that the Apostle Paul finds himself in in Romans 10:1. All throughout chapter 9, he talks about the place of Israel in redemptive history and how God has temporarily allowed Israel to wander in unbelief that the Gentiles might be brought to faith in Christ. In fact, most of the opposition that the early church experienced came from Jews. To the dismay of Paul and the other apostles, their own people were not as receptive to the Gospel message as they would have hoped.
